International Contemporary Art festival ARTBAT FEST - a project uniting Kazakhstan and foreign participants in the various areas of contemporary art. The uniqueness of this project is the creation of cultural events, the alleged lack of boundaries between artists, actors, musicians and audience.Arts, facing the street. Art objects in changing architectural, informational, social space in which we live, making it more interesting and appealing. Young and talented people get the site, material and technical support for the implementation of their artistic ideas, and new information, skills, and skills, broaden your circle of professional communication. Formed community in the sphere of culture, tourism and high-quality entertainment.

In 2011 Festival achieved international scale, there were participants from Russia, Uzbekistan and Israel. The Festival’s direction – Public Art – includes such categories as installations (site-specific art), paintings and graphics, photo and video art, theatre, performance, various music styles.

From 2011 the official organizer of the ARTBAT FEST festival is the Public Association “Eurasian cultural alliance”.

In 2011 the festival became international with presented works of participants from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Israel. Program of the festival included such genres as installation, painting and graphics, photo – and video – art, theater, live art performance, various musical directions.

In 2012, for the first time ever, festival expanded over the boundaries of the Arbat of Almaty – new grounds were found on “New Square” of Almaty city (TC “Almaly” territory), “Zhibek Zholy” subway station, Palace of Republic, modern atrs gallery “Tengri – Umai”, territory of the “Astana Square” in Almaty (near the KBTU building), etc. Program of the festival included: installations and sculptures, modern exhibition projects, photo – and video – art, street theater, live art performance, various musical teams. Also ARTBAT FEST 2012  took a stand in favor of candidacy of Kazakhstan for performance of World exhibition EXPO 2017 and became the participant of 3rd International action films festival of Timur Bekmambetov passing in the Astana city.

Each City has a right for its special holiday. Each Artist has a right to realize their ideas, a right to have his Audience and Devotee. Each Spectator has a right for wish to be an Artist at least once in a lifetime. ARTBAT FEST is a holiday to celebrate Art. It’s  time for long-awaited and happy transformation of every pedestrian into the interested Spectator. It’s a holiday for sculptors, photographers, actors, painters, musicians. Holiday of smiles and  perplexity, sympathy and indignation, gigabytes of images on digital devices, thousands of grateful and inspired citizens. This is ARTBAT FEST.
