British Contemporary artist Annya Sand was born in Kazakhstan, and currently lives and works in London. Annya started painting at a very young age and received international recognition after having exhibited her first collection at the age of 20.
Although Annya is a British contemporary artist, she is considering herself an international artist, as she draws inspiration from different cultures and the world around her. Majority of Annya’s works are paintings created in oil and acrylic. In addition, she specialises in installation and staged photography.
Annya’s works are exhibited in museums, galleries and private collections worldwide. They have been showcased at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, the Kasteev State Museum of Arts in Kazakhstan, the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan, as well as the UNESCO’s offices in Paris, Andorra and Venice, and the UN offices in New York and Geneva. Annya takes part in numerous art fairs and exhibitions around the world.
Annya Sand is a dedicated supporter of charities that assist children, women and wildlife. She is currently supporting the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, the Children’s Burns Trust, Action for Children charity, as well as the National Park Rescue.
